I am A Parking Professional and my career began in July, 1989. My experience and training came from working for two of the larger parking companies in New York City. I was able to increase my knowledge base by managing different departments within those companies.
My last position in Imperial Parking allowed me to travel throughout the United States and Canada reviewing the cities operations and revenue control procedures. This experience also exposed me to Pay Meters and Street Parking, for which I have become proficient, an aspect of the business I had not yet been exposed to in the New York Market.
The last position also had me completing RFP?s in cities for which I had minimal contact and no city support system, as the company did not yet have locations in those cities. I believe it is this capability to accomplish tasks from the most basic first steps, as well as add knowledge "on the fly" which has made me so successful in a changing technological industry.
I am proficient in the highest technology parking revenue control systems including Scheidt & Bachmann, Secom, Federal APD, Scan and Amano/McGann, but I have been exposed to many others. My experience has taught me the pitfalls of poor policy as well as the benefits of proper procedure.
